In this video, Joshua Griffin goes over while your AC might be blowing hot air and a thermostat setting that might be why. Heat pump systems have a reversing valve that allows the system to run backwards and provide heat in the winter and AC in the summer. If the settings and the thermostat are not correct, this can make the AC run in the other mode, causing you to get hot air blowing out of your vents during the summer.
